The full Senate generally meets monthly during the academic year. Meetings are open to all members of the University community.
The Steering Committee generally meets monthly to plan the upcoming Senate meetings and make appointments for Senate confirmation.
The Medical Center Caucus (all Medical Center Senators) meets monthly as a governance body that advises the Executive Vice President for the Medical Center on issues affecting the whole campus.
The Main Campus Caucus (all Main Campus Senators) meets as needed to nominate Main Campus faculty for appointments and discuss Main Campus issues.
The University Budget Committee meets monthly.
Senate Meetings
Senate meetings occur on various days of the week between Monday and Thursday from 3 until 5pm. Senate meetings occur via Zoom. Agendas and meeting information will be emailed to faculty in advance of each meeting. Please direct any questions to facultysenate@georgetown.edu.
GUMC Caucus public meetings will be held the first Tuesday of every month through June from 12:30-2. Inquires may be directed to Jessica Jones, Ph.D., Senate Vice President of the GUMC Caucus.

Main Campus Caucus meetings are held each semester on an as-needed basis. Inquires may be directed to Andreas Kern, Ph.D., Senate Vice President of the Main Campus Caucus.
University Budget Committee meetings are typically held during the course of the academic year on the last Friday of the month (save holiday breaks) from 8:30-10:00am. The committee commences meeting in mid-June, reconvening in September after the summer break. Special one-off meetings may be called on an as-needed basis.
